This report presents the findings from a small pilot project between LINC Tasmania Literacy Services (St Helens) and the University of Tasmania, Department of Rural Health (UDRH). The project was conducted over a 10 month period from March to December 2012. The key aims of the project were: • To generate new information and knowledge regarding the provision of support and information for literacy services and programs in the Break O’Day community; • To collaboratively develop a validated research tool (survey) and data management tool which will assist LINC services to generate this information; • To generate a research report based on the survey findings, including the collaborative development of recommendations and priority areas for the LINC service and relevant policy in the future.
