Using Action Research To Foster Mentor Engagement In The Development of Quality Clinical Placements in Aged Care for Undergaduate Health Care Students

Background Health care students undertake highly variable clinical placements in aged care facilities (ACFs), with mixed results in terms of student satisfaction. While aged care staff take on the role of student mentor/preceptor they generally have limited opportunity to shape how student placement is structured.
