Australia and the OECD

Australia became a member of the Organisation for Economic Ccperation and Development (OECD) in 1971, ten years after it's establishment in 1961., only the second member from outside of the North American and European areas, following, Japans accession in 1964. Australia enjoys middle power status in the global system.
