Volcano Lover: Star/Dust

composition
posted on 2023-05-25, 07:47 authored by Bleach, L

Volcano Lover is an eruption of colour, light and sound.

This visually beautiful art installation will indulge your fascination with the drama of volcanoes while prompting you to consider how they affect the communities that live around them.

The exhibition features flowing walls of coloured lava, a mist of floating flames and real recordings from the volcanic Mount Yasur in Vanuatu.

Embedded within the exhibition is the do-it-yourself ‘Volcano Lab’ where visitors become creative scientists.

Volcano Lover is part of Star/Dust, a year-long series of contemporary art experiences developed by three Tasmanian artists and presented with the support of Detached Cultural Organisation.
