Introduction to the special edition on human rights and environmental law

journal contribution
posted on 2023-05-21, 21:49 authored by Phillipa McCormackPhillipa McCormack
This edition was inspired by recent reports by Professor John Knox, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and the Environment. The Special Rapporteur’s most recent report1 is of particular interest, as it sets out the 16 Framework Principles on Human Rights and the Environment (Framework Principles) for realising human rights and environmental protection. This special edition presents a selection of perspectives on the application of those ideas in an Australian legal context.
