Abstract

The Western Coastal Board and Deakin University produced a pilot Geographic Information System project designed to spatially identify coastal and marine values on Victoria’s south west coast. The verbal feedback given from this projected suggested that basic training in GIS was required. On the 25th of July, Deakin University GIS Facility provided a brief training day for interested parties. In total, 6 individuals from 5 different organisations were in attendance. Below is a synthesis of the feedback provided from these participants.
