Conceptualising the value of artist resdencies: a research agenda

journal contribution
posted on 2023-05-19, 07:38 authored by Kim Lehman
This article provides an overview of the concept of the artist residency and the benefits as perceived by the art community and policy makers, then sets out a model within which an academic research agenda may be formulated. The model illustrates how the individual, the organisation, and the region intersect and interact in a range of different ways to form relationships, impacts, and consequently, value in a variety of forms: thus providing numerous possible avenues for empirical research.
