In February this year I was invited by Alexander Campos, director and curator at the Center for Book Arts in New York to participate in an exhibition titled, Behind the Personal Library: Collectors Creating the Canon. Advisory curators are Johanna Drucker, UCLA; Jae Jennifer Rossman, Yale; and Tony White, MICA. It is an international exhibition involving 12 collectors. It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to participate. As a participant, I was set the arduous task of selecting 14 key words from my collection. This list was further reduced by the curators. All the books selected will be borrowed from my collection and sent to New York for the duration of the exhibition which is 11 October — 20 December 2014. On the 11 October the Museum of Modern Art will be hosting a day symposium of five panel session with topics related to contemporary book arts. I will send on all the information relating to the exhibition. Until then can you please check the details of your book and let me know if there is anything amiss. Your book Presence: Gundaroo Common will be on exhibition.
