Abstract

"The Drunken Boat" is a musical exploration of Rimbaud's 19th Century poem about a vessel lost at sea, fuelled by a cargo of absynthe. There is a very strong link between the text and the original music performed, which is composed by the ensemble. Haywood is a key ensemble member and featured soloist within this project.
