Abstract
A sense of personal meaning and tradition is common to all of us, although this meaning may be
different for each individual. It develops with us from birth and without it we would feel a sense of
isolation or dislocation. Therefore, throughout our lives we continually seek the security of this
meaning. This is also to speak of the continuity of certain principles and of the sacred forms which
are the means whereby these principles are communicated and the teaching of the tradition
actualized for mankind. We always search for a stronger meaning within our lives to that which
each individual can identify with.
