Abstract

This paper will examine factors driving economic growth and innovation in the music industries of the Lao People's Democratic Republic drawing on Richard Patersonís "six-facet model of production" to address innovations in technology as they relate to the popular music industries; the workings of law and regulations in relation to the popular music industries; popular music industries structure; the organisational structure of dominating firms in the popular music industries; occupational careers in the popular music industries; and the market for popular music.
