Projected impact of climate change on Meander Valley: opportunities for agricultural enterprises

TIA assessed the changes in frost days and a crop thermal index in the 21st century for two locations at different elevations in the Meander Valley, Tasmania. The opportunities presented by these future climate scenarios for five irrigated crops were evaluated. The results suggest that significant opportunities exist for the expansion of agriculture and the development of new crops under irrigation within the Meander Valley region.
