Voice and audience in writing: A multidimensional account

chapter
posted on 2023-05-22, 21:31 authored by Liu, X, Le, T
This chapter aims to dismantle some of the stereotyped thoughts on two important concepts in EFL/ESL writing, namely the personal voice and audience awareness and then propose a dynamic and multiple views of these concepts. Through situating voice and audience at the core of interaction and evaluation, this chapter provides EFUESL students and instructors a few linguistic frameworks to realize these two concepts in writing practice and pedagogy.
