Abstract
The impact of stressors have mostly been investigated in short-term
experiments performed in the laboratory on isolated organisms. There is a dire
need to go from individuals to communities, from short-term to mid-term and
long-term and from the laboratory to the field. xFOCE systems are useful tools
for that and several systems are being used (cpFOCE in Australia...) and others
in development (eFOCE in Europe...). This workshop, partly funded by the BNP
Paribas Foundation, aims to gather present and future users of xFOCE systems
to share their experience and results, discuss present designs as well future
developments, especially regarding perturbation experiments involving multiple
stressors.
