This visual arts project follows on from a continuing interest in the way in which cultural and technological artefacts interact with the natural world. This body of work explores how we navigate and respond to the natural environment through the strange disjunction of wilderness, common garden variety weeds, mobility aids and technology. The works explores the idea of vunerability within this field and locates itself within the tension or conflict that presides in this overlap. The project uses painted stencil images and cut out motifs to communicate the aims.
