Walnuts in Guangxi Province China

Walnuts in Guangxi Province China. In the first week of September we travelled about 1000km through the mountains of W Guangxi province(1) (~ 240N, 400km N of the sea and 800km W of Hong Kong, warm, wet monsoonal subtropical climate; Fengshan, Tian’e, Hechi, Du’an counties) viewing walnut development research, extension, commercial farms and nurseries with the support of the Guangxi province Subtropical Crop Research Institute and the University of Tasmania. This paper reports on the issues observed.
