Challenges in Conducting Research in a Digital Discourse

This chapter considers the Internet and the World Wide Web (i.e., the Web) as two parts of a global tool for research and will discuss the advantages, disadvantages and opportunities offered therein. We will look at examples of how traditional research methods have evolved with the advent of the Internet and the new challenges which have arisen. We will eud by taking a brief look at some current and future directions and their associated challenges.
