Abstract
It appears that Malaysia is witnessing fundamental and dramatic events in its history of nursing and nurse education. Over the past few years, there has been an increasing interest in the development of strong, long term links between schools of nursing and universities. This must surely add to the momentum for professional status and increased recognition of nursing as the most valuable human resource for the promotion and maintenance of health in this and most other countries.
