The last decade has seen a tremendous explosion of writing and commentary on issues pertaining to environmental crime and harm. In part this is due to the formation of new international networks of ‘green criminology’ scholars and researchers, the advent of which has fostered and facilitated publication in this area. However, it is also due to the increasing urgency and prominence of environmental issues in everyday life, not least being global warming and the slow crisis of climate change. What is happening in and to the environment cannot be ignored.
