Reliable methods to estimate the calm water performance and to predict the powering for the full scale vessel are necessary. For this paper RANSE-based methods were used to predict the total resistance for medium-speed catamarans for various hull forms, speeds and scales using both an open-source and commercial solver. For the Froude numbers of interest (0:3 < Fr < 0:5) an absolute relative error of 10% and below could be achieved compared to model and full scale test results.
