Observations of the millisecond pulsar J0437-4715 at 76 MHz
journal contribution
posted on 2023-05-16, 10:13 authored by McConnell, D, Ables, JG, Bailes, M, Erickson, WCWe report observations of the millisecond pulsar J0437-4715 at 76 and 90 MHz. These observations give a five-fold increase in the frequency range of measurements of this pulsar and provide the first record of the pulsed emission from any millisecond pulsar below 100 MHz. We find that the radio spectrum of the mean pulsed emission of J0437-4715 is similar to that of many other pulsars with a spectral turnover between 90 and 400 MHz. J0437-4715 differs from most other pulsars with respect to the variation of pulse width with radiation frequency and the relative spectra of pulse components.
