Abstract
In this paper, we present the efforts undertaken by the
Australian sea ice research group to support calibration
and validation of CryoSat-2 products in the East Antarctic
sea ice zone, basically between the Australian Antarctic
research stations Mawson and Casey between about
60 deg E and 110 deg E. The first cruise for this purpose
was undertaken in October/November 2010, and preliminary
results are presented here.
