Increasing economic efficiency and sustainability of the aquafeed industry necessitates developing modern ingredient-processing methods to produce novel protein sources. Solid state fermentation approach can increase the content of key nutrients, reduce anti-nutritional factors (ANF) and improve the functional properties of ingredients using appropriate bacteria and fungi (yeast and mold).
