Texture contrast soils occupy 17.0 % of the Australian landmass, and around 80 % of agricultural regions in southern Australia. Texture contrast soils are associated with a range of management problems including; waterlogging, water repellence, salinity and development of a perched watertables above the B horizon. This paper details results from intensive hydropedological investigation of a series of texture contrast soils at the University of Tasmania farm, Australia.
