A Review of The Federal Court Rules 2011
New Federal Court Rules commenced on 1st August 2011. They introduce some important changes in Federal Court practice, especially concerning the court's management of litigation and the overarching objective in the Federal Court of Australia Act (Cth) 1976. This article explores some of the differences between the new rules and the previous rules and how that affects practice in the court.
