Abstract
Australian universities face significant challenges in responding to an increasingly diverse student profile, especially within a higher education climate characterised by ongoing resource constraints and Federal government reforms. Academic staff teach and other university staff support students with a range of learning styles and abilities, from a diversity of linguistic, cultural, social and educational backgrounds.
