Christl Berg: Waterfront

event
posted on 2023-05-25, 10:52 authored by Jonathan HolmesJonathan Holmes

The four corresponding suites of photographic images produced for this exhibition address the artist's sense of place; via distant and close-up observation and interpretation of the natural world.

All the works reflect on perceptions of time and space, repetition and uniqueness, vastness and the minute. The exhibition title Waterfront refers to the various delights and concerns that living near the ocean include - expansive views, the sound of the ocean, beach walking and swimming, the threat of changing climate and rising water levels.
