Abstract
What value is created by entrepreneurship education? How could any such value created? Both
questions are addressed within this paper. It is proposed that research into entrepreneurship education
needs to incorporate a consideration of the ontological challenge that accompanies the development of
knowledge and skills that may not be used by students immediately upon graduation. This paper
reports on the author's own findings and those of a colleague who has also investigated the
development of student value at UT AS. Several contemporary issues related to entrepreneurship
education are introduced and discussed throughout the paper.
