Abstract
The main focus of this chapter is on the use of imagery as a srategy to improve students' comprehension of read text. The chapter is in two parts, the first section reports on the literature review and theoretical foundation of using imagery as a teaching tool to enhance readers' comprehension. The second section reports on a classroom teaching strategy that uses imagery to enhance readers' comprehension of read text.
