Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in Australia, and is the nationís most burdensome respiratory disease. Moderate to severe COPD now affects more than 10% of the Australian population over the age of 40 years and is the third leading cause of disease burden in Australia
