Prescribing data

The Prescription Pricing Division (PPD) of the NHS processes all prescriptions dispensed in the community: those handled by community pharmacies, dispensing practices and appliance contractors. This includes those hospital outpatient prescriptions not dispensed internally. Data usually becomes available around five to six weeks after the end of each calendar month.
