Abstract
"SHIJUYONICHI".("For More Than Forty Days,"1910)is a remarkable text written by Mizuno Senko, a young woman writer active in the closing years of the Meiji period and the first half of the Taisho era. The text is a narrative account of the inscription, literal and figurative, of women's bodies.
