Abstract

The γ-deprotonation of a samarium(III) bis(trimethylsilyl)amide complex derived from a dimetallated trans-dioxaporphyrinogen has been achieved through stabilisation of the counter cation within the macrocyclic cavity. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2005.
