An Invitation to Participate in an Inquiry: Assignment and Licensing of Biotechnology Patents

Patents are becoming an increasingly important asset for biotechnology companies. At the same time the patenting of vital technologies is tying up areas of research. The authors are in the process of compiling data on patent assignment and licensing activity in the Australian biotechnology industry and seek input from industry participants on their experiences in this area.
