chapter
posted on 2023-05-22, 20:27 authored by Blenkinsop, S, Jickling, B, Marcus MorseMarcus MorseThis chapter explores a set of educational ideas situated under the umbrella term wild pedagogies. The goal is to introduce educators interested in pedagogies related to childhoodnature to some key touchstones. The chapter starts by introducing three interlocking and overlapping conversation that are important to understanding where wild pedagogies come from and how it can be understood. The last half of the chapter is dedicated to introducing the reader to the touchstones themselves. The hope here is that the touchstones can act as supportive, challenging, and reflection-inducing mechanisms for all educators no matter where they might be in the process of changing, even wilding, their practices.
