Being somewhere

Perhaps it is a function of growing up in the stunning environment and protective gaze of a smaller city that has made me more aware of the importance of place. Perhaps, too a growing sense of being remote and then some living and travel ‘oversea’ has forced a continual remaining of where I am in the world and where I am in relation to what I think too though in a time of such movement, indeed around the globe, what continues to shine in the head are images of mountains of still tams, of bright faegus and then trees, threes and ocean, a wheeling sea eagle a dog at the gate of house rubbing shoulders with peppermint gum. Of home.
