The Good Mother

'The Good Mother', originally the prologue to the short fiction collection Rosie Little Cautionary Tales for Girls (Allen & Unwin, 2007), was selected by Cristina Bacchilega and Jennifer Orme for inclusion in their edited collection Inviting Interruptions: Wonder Tales in the 21st Century. Inviting Interruptions, designed as a text for teaching revisionist fairy tales, includes works by Emma Donoghue, Shaun Tan and Kelly Link.
