Abstract
As part of the Ten Days on the Island Festival (2021), writers were selected via a competitive process to participate in the 'If These Halls Could Talk' project. Writers were allocated to a community hall and given free rein to respond to that hall's history and materiality in fiction or non-fiction. 'Apple Suite' was written in response to the photographic collection held at the Glen Huon Hall in Tasmania's south. It features seven short works, some inspired by the recollections of the members of the Upper Huon History society.
