FernFlip: Life size guide to the common ferns of Tasmania

FernFlip is the fifth in a highly successful series of publications providing Tasmanians with inexpensive, durable, and user-friendly guides to our rich biodiversity. Many groups are monolithic entities to the non-expert, for example, eucalypts, trees, mosses, ferns, orchids, fungi, even the native mammals. This project aims to highlight the distinguishing characteristics of taxa within each group using definitive photographic images and concise, non-technical descriptions, conferring upon the user the ability to perceive the natural world in greater detail and as a much richer place. This work draws on formal published taxonomic treatments and on four decades of teaching experience.
