How the ‘new normal’ has shaped and changed the tourism industry. The suggestion options, recommendations, and implications the ‘new normal’ will inflict on Destination Southern Tasmania. This project found several main predictions for the tourism industry, which are: holistic approaches, regenerative tourism, enhanced consumptive methods, technological advancement, the media’s power and authenticity in tourism. Also, it is advocated that the tourism industry continued heightened hygiene practices and embrace intrastate travel due to the delay in international travel.
