Make room for D-STEM: A way to inform the teaching of STEM in schools
journal contribution

Do you know the perceptions they have of STEM learning environments? How might these perceptions inform the school environment, and how teachers are supported to adapt effective STEM teaching practices? Finding out more about the perceptions that teachers of STEM hold about STEM learning environments can help school principals and discipline heads to understand the ways in which STEM teaching is approached in their school. To discover teachers’ perceptions, you can ask them. One way to do so is to ask them to create a drawing of a STEM learning environment. You may be surprised at the results.
