Interdisciplinarity in action: Notes on Tasmanian education, industry and social justice contexts

conference contribution
posted on 2023-05-24, 20:03 authored by Wise, K, Abbey MacDonaldAbbey MacDonald
This presentation considers interdisciplinary strategy enacted across three domains: education, industry and social justice. Focusing on Tasmanian case studies, where collaboration between the education sector, creative industries and community are well established in the small, regional island context, the perspectives of schoolteachers, artists, social justice and philanthropic organisations are considered. More broadly, it addresses the way interdisciplinary practices, partnerships and priorities can be recalibrated in relation to teaching and learning, to respond to global challenges.
