Effect of frost injury on Pinot Noir
journal contribution
posted on 2023-05-21, 22:04 authored by Katherine EvansKatherine Evans, Bricher, Pip, Scott FosterScott FosterResearch on the response of vines to frost injury in spring is necessarily opportunistic and reported infrequently. This article provides insights from a study led by the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture to investigate the impact of early spring frost injury at nodes of Pinot Noir on fruitfulness and growth-stage lag. The methods, including a visual scale to score severity of frost injury severity, can be applied for standardised data collection in future studies.
