© 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. In this article, the principles of kinetic methods in the field of chemical analysis are described. Recent developments in the application of noncatalytic and catalytic kinetic methods are presented. Furthermore, examples of application and developments in analytical instrumentation for the improved implementation of kinetic methods are discussed.
