Abstract

Bullying is a significant and widespread workplace problem. However, a lack of theory development and empirical evidence limits the development of policies and practices to minimise it. This chapter contributes to better understanding the relationships between work organisation and bullying by applying the Pressure, Disorganisation and Regulatory Failure (PDR) framework. It extends existing theory and provides the basis for a new research agenda focusing on the development of workplace policies to ameliorate bullying.
