Tasmania Police Recruits Enrol in B.Soc.Sc. (Police Studies) at The University of Tasmania

On 29 March 2010, the Tasmania Police Recruit Course 1/2010 became the first intake of recruits to enrol in the Bachelor of Social Science (Police Studies) at the University of Tasmania. Over the past two years, a joint project has been undertaken by UTAS and Tasmania Police to develop a new pathway for completing this degree via the learning that occurs within the Recruit Course and the following three years of service after leaving the Academy. This initiative in police education and training is now available to recruits who join Tasmania Police from March 2010.
