Variable Retention Manual

This manual describes variable retention (VR), an approach to harvesting that aims to retain forest structure at the stand level and provide increased forest influence over the regenerating stand. It also describes aggregated retention (ARN), the silvicultural system that Sustainable Timber Tasmania has developed for harvesting tall wet eucalypt forests using a variable retention approach .
