Abstract

"Stay authentic" is the advice given to Tasmanians seeking to offer the best experience to Chinese tourists visiting the state. Yue Ma is a Postgraduate student at the School of Business and Economics at Utas and she spoke to ABC Breakfast's Ryk Goddard about three key characteristics of Chinese tourists, how local tourism providers can best tap in to the market, and about why Port Arthur, one of the state's most famous destinations, may be taboo for some Chinese visitors.
