Abstract

As anti-China protests continue in Hong Kong, tensions have also risen on Australian soil.

Yesterday, hundreds of students from either side of the Hong Kong conflict clashed in loud, sometimes violent protests at the University of Queensland in Brisbane.

While it's not a common sight in Australia, some experts warn that with no end in sight to the stand off between Beijing an the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong, we should expect to see more protests in Australia.
