Abstract

Banning the practice of superannuation funds wining and dining companies to negotiate default deals could make it difficult for non-profit funds to attract business, experts say. Despite recommendations from the banking royal commission that superannuation funds be banned from the practice, experts are divided over whether strong arming workers into super funds is a bad thing, especially given these deals are increasingly made by top performing funds, and with financial literacy among younger staff often low
